We have all had a scenario where we walk into our house and the smell of urine overtakes our senses. Our first instinct? Find out where the smell is coming from, who made the mess, and how we plan to correct the problem in the future. Unfortunately, puppies can't hold it like most think. Babies wear diapers for the same reason that puppies need to be let out every 2 - 3 hours. As a "mommy" or "daddy" to our sweet companions, we are responsible for taking care of them day in and day out. They don't know why you leave for work in the morning or why you walked out the door without them. All they know is they love you and they depend on you.
In the early stages of potty training, the task can seem daunting. Waking up in the middle of the night and waking up tired. Reality is, it gets better shortly after bringing them home. Keep looking past the fact that they make messes. Look at how cute they are and how much you will enjoy them when they are able to tell you when they have to go out. IT GETS BETTER!
